Fuse holders | ||
Fuses and fuse holders are used to prevent overloads and short circuits in all types of electrical devices. A fuse holder is a device responsible for safeguarding the fuse inside. There are multiple models of fuse holders, both individual and multiple, which are used to ensure a correct installation of the system protection. There are many models of fuseholders in the market and depending on the dimensions of the fuse, the suitable polymer should be chosen.
Components of fuse holders
Body and cover of the electrical enclosure, they are manufactured in technopolymer or thermofix: PBT with flame retarded fiberglass PA6 with flame retarded fiberglass PA66 with flame retardant fiberglass Polyester thermofix retarded to the flame Usually all these products are pre-colored in: RAL7035 RAL 7021
PBT thermoplastic reinforced polyester
The reinforced thermoplastic polyester is the best insulating material that exists in the market, ideal even in the most aggressive environments, once modified it becomes self-extinguishing, in case of a fire, the flame will not propagate. The polyester does not deform if there is overheating. Being an insulating material there is no danger in its handling and there is no risk of discharge. They are ideal for outdoor use since they perfectly withstand the inclement weather in aggressive environments thanks to the fact that their material is non-hygroscopic and is protected against UV rays, which allows an optimum operation of -20º to + 140º. Total absence of toxic components and heavy metals.
Reinforced polyamide 66 (PA66)
Reinforced polyamide 66 (PA66) is a good insulating material, but not like PBT, because it absorbs moisture. Ideal in aggressive environments, self-extinguishing, it does not deform if there is overheating, there is no danger in its handling and we are not at risk of discharge. They are ideal for use in optimal operation from -20º to + 160º. Total absence of toxic components and heavy metals.
Reinforced polyamide 6 (PA6)
The reinforced polyamide 6 (PA6) is less insulating, due to the fact that it is hygroscopic, but it can still be used in some type of fuse holder, it does not deform if there is overheating, there is no danger in its handling and we do not run the risk of discharge . They are ideal for use in optimal operation from -30º to + 130º. Total absence of toxic components and heavy metals. |
