Synthetic dye mixture appearance of water-insoluble powder Nigrosine is an azinic type, obtained by oxidation of aniline; is prepared by melting the aniline and heating it with a mixture of nitrobenzine, aniline hydrochloride, in the presence of an iron or copper catalyst, the product obtained is released from the excess of aniline with a vacuum heating. Different flames (pitch) can be obtained from green to blue and from gray to black, varying the proportions of the different components. The n. soluble in alcohol (n. to alcohol) are constituted by the chlorides of the free bases and are obtained with the same procedure, but treating the molten product with dilute hydrochloric acid and separating the solid part. | | |
