PP/POE dynamically vulcanized
In recent years, the fourth generation of TPVs, replacing EPM-co and EPDM-terpolymers with ethylene / octene copolymers (POE), and achieving the stage of dynamic cross-linking through the use of special catalysts. In particular applications, it is highly desirable to obtain improved resistance to oils, less oil absorption and increased chemical and abrasion resistance combined with a remarkable surface finish. The newly developed thermoplastic vulcanizates, composed of a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) matrix and a densely cross-linked rubber phase and ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer microdispersion, can guarantee such quality requirements. thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPV) with polyolefin elastomer (POE) / polypropylene (PP), is considered a better alternative to the commercial monomer of ethylene-propylene-diene (EPDM) / PPPVP due to its better overall performance and low cost. The POE / PP TPVs exhibit smaller rubber nanoparticles and their agglomerates than the EPDM / PP TPVs due to the better compatibility between POE and PP. The development of morphology during DVT and TPVs is dominated by the formation and agglomeration of POE rubber nanoparticles caused by the combined effect of in situ dynamic cross-linking and shear-induced rupture of the POE phase. A higher degree of crosslinking, a higher shear rate and a moderate rate of crosslinking of the POE phase facilitate the rapid formation of smaller rubber nanoparticles and the agglomerates of rubber nanoparticles and accelerate the appearance of a faster phase inversion. In Mexpolimero we have the "Know How" and some grades of 4th generation made with Polypropylene and POE vulcanized dianmically with an essential catalysts of our properties.
TPV based on POE / PP | ||||||||
Reticulated olefinic elastomers characterized by their low weight, improved thermal resistance and ease of work compared to many TPVs, silicones and gums in the market. The materials TPVs of POE / PP are proposed as an alternative to silicones and thermosets, thanks to better chemical resistance and heat, combined with a crosslinking at room temperature, have a high durability and low deformation by permanent compression (set of compression).
TPO-V | ||||||||
Thermoplastic elastomers TPO-V can be manufactured in various forms, from soft to rigid. By altering the plasticizer ratio (as oil) you can get a Shore hardness range between A 25 and D 72. The useful temperature range of TPO-V is between -60 ° and 135 ° C. The high resistance of TPC ET to the bending load and its resistance to impact are also crucial factors in its favor. It is also resistant to chemicals, oils and solvents. They are lightweight elastomeric materials.
