Group O
Rubbers > Group O
Group O | CO (epichlorohydrin homopolymer), ECO (epichlorohydrin copolymer)
Features
Good mechanical properties even at low temperatures, good resistance to permanent deformation, low elastic performance (good in ECO). Exceptional gas impermeability, excellent resistance to the agents of the atmosphere, UV radiation and ozone, good resistance to flames, low dielectric properties (can also be very conductive), tendency to corrode metals in contact. Good resistance to salt solutions, animal and mineral oils and fats, minerals and vegetables, alcohols (except benzyl alcohol), glycols, aliphatic hydrocarbons and fuels, many acids and dilute alkalis, freons. Low swelling with aliphatic and aromatic solvents. It is not compatible with ketones and esters, nitric acid (even if diluted), with glycol-based oils and aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Not recommended for the production of non-toxic items. Hardness 30 ÷ 80 Sh. Working temperature -20 +130 ° C (-40 +120 ° C for ECO).
