PEBA Polyether amide in block
It is an elastomeric thermoplastic material, belongs to the category of thermoplastic elastomers (TPE-A) and is a block copolymer. The blocks last are PA12 polyamide, while the soft segments are polytetramethylene glycol (PTMG). The family of PEBA resins is a linear biphasic polyamide chain interconnected with flexible segments of polyester. Next, the PEBA is a flexible polyamide without plasticizers, it stands out for excellent mechanical properties such as wear resistance, low coefficient of friction, high fatigue resistance, exceptional flexibility and impact resistance over a wide range of temperatures, low and the memory of high elastic density. Good hydrolytic stability, and some grades are bio-compatible. PEBA has a low water absorption, introduction of aromatic units in the PEBA. The polycondensation of a melt of polyetherdiols and PA intermediates with carboxylic end groups leads to block copolymers involving blocks of polyamide and polyester (PEBA). According to the PA: PE ratios, which range from 80:20 to 20:80, the melting points vary from 120º to 210º C. The use of several polyidioles can give products with minimal water absorption or, conversely, hydrophilic materials , for sweat-absorbing textiles, which can incorporate up to 110% water.

Physical-mechanical properties
The combination of low density and excellent mechanical properties allows the design of lighter parts. The PEBA provides excellent dynamic properties to dampen vibrations and noise even at high frequency. Some PEBA is also inherently antistatic. Fatigue resistance, high fatigue resistance, exceptional strength and impact resistance in a wide range of temperatures, another point of strength is the low density, high elastic memory.

Thermal properties |
Has a point of 134 to 174 ° C melting, depending on the hardness, high performance at extremely low temperatures, the PEBA does not harden in the cold season, maintaining the mechanical properties (resistance and impact resistance) up to -40 ° C .

Electrical lProperties |
Discrete capacity as an electrical insulator, good surface resistance and therefore a good resistance to creeping current, possess antistatic properties used to prevent the attraction of dust, regardless of the climatic conditions of relative humidity. These hydrophilic PEBA are often inherently antistatic and can be used as permanent antistatic additives in a wide range of polymers.

It is a block copolymer obtained by polycondensation of a carboxylic acid polyamide (PA6, PA11, PA12) with an alcohol-terminated polyether (polytetramethylene glycol PTMG), PEG). The general chemical structure is: HO - (CO - PA - CO - O - PE - O) n - H It is obtained in 2 stages, in priomo synthesizes the amminododecanoico acid and laurilattame obtain PA12, in the second stage is added to the polyol (PEG) - (PTHF).
